Description
This one-day trek is an experience that connects you with nature and offers you a landscape of unparalleled beauty. Ausangate is the second highest mountain in Cusco, located within the Vilcanota mountain range and is surrounded by peaks, snow-capped mountains and spectacular scenery.
Ausangate is known for its impressive natural beauty, which includes colorful lagoons, glaciers and diverse fauna. In addition, Ausangate is a popular destination for trekking and mountaineering enthusiasts.
ITINERARY
01: CUSCO – CUSIPATA – PHULLUWASPATA – VININCUNCA – CUSIPATA – CUSCO
This day we start very early picking you up from your hotel at 4:30 am. We will start our 3 hour trek to Pacchanta (4200 MSNM). This means that the temperatures will be lower than Cusco itself. Here we will have a good breakfast, then we will start our hike to the beautiful crystalline lagoons that are in the foothills of the snowy Ausangate.
The hike will be approximately 4 hours and will take us all the trail where we will see the different lagoons as Azulcocha, Otorongo, Pukacocha, Alqacocha and Qomercocha, we can also appreciate the mountains Ausangate (6834 MSNM), Mariposa (5842 MSNM), Jampa (5500 MSNM), Caracol (5625 MSNM), Tinke (5300 MSNM).
After visiting we descend to Pacchanta where you can enjoy the hot springs, then have a good lunch and return to Cusco and drop you off at your hotel.
